April 23 , 2008 -- Ryan Cromwell: Windows Presentation Foundation

Description: Windows Presentation Foundation is being positioned as the platform of choice for Windows Client development going forward. Not just for shiny, gratuitous animations, WPF makes building full-featured, easy to use, client applications an easier and more productive experience for you as a developer. Now a first class citizen of Visual Studio 2008, we’ll walk through an implementation of the MVC pattern within a WPF application while touching on features which bring high class (read: intelligible), owner-draw clients of the past, to every developers toolbox.

Bio:  Ryan is a consultant with Strategic Data Systems (SDS), recently spreading his wings as Senior Architect for Speedway’s Speedy Rewards™ program. During the release cycle of WPF, he spent a week with the Product Development Team in Redmond and has been hooked ever since.
