Steve works at Google on web performance and open source initiatives. His book High Performance Web Sites explains his best practices for performance along with the research and real-world results behind them. Steve is the creator of YSlow, the performance analysis extension to Firebug. He is also co-chair of Velocity 2008, the first web performance conference sponsored by O'Reilly. He frequently speaks at such conferences as OSCON, Rich Web Experience, Web 2.0 Expo, and The Ajax Experience.Steve previously worked at Yahoo! as the Chief Performance Yahoo!, where he blogged about web performance on Yahoo! Developer Network. He was named a Yahoo! Superstar. Steve worked on many of the platforms and products within the company, including running the development team for My Yahoo!. Prior to Yahoo! Description: Windows Workflow (WF) was introduced as one of the four pillars of .Net 3.0. WF provides a rich set of tools to embed workflow within your applications. Sometimes you have to provide more than just a simple workflow though. Sometimes you have an intricate set of business rules involved that may change quickly over time due to changing laws, industry trends, sales reports or the whim of pointy haired bosses. WF provides the Policy activity to wrap rules that can be dynamically generated or declaratively included with your workflows. This presentation will focus on the rules engine provided by WF and how it can be leveraged both within and outside your workflows. Bio:

We love .NET and want to make distribution of your .NET assemblies a safer, more secure experience. We recently completed a beta release of a product to facilitate this and would like to kindly request your feedback.

nShroud is a toolkit for encrypting .NET assemblies -- executables and/or DLLs -- and decrypting them on the fly, in memory, for much greater protection than obfuscation tools can provide.

This tool facilitates secure publishing of .NET-based software products, as well as applications developed by consultants who want to protect their intellectual property from decompilation and tampering. The product is a snap to install and use. A detailed VIDEO TUTORIAL, a context-sensitive hypertext help and a PDF manual should make it self-explanatory.
